Throughout the year Apes Hill offers several exciting activities and events across its seasonal calendar, ensuring that there’s always an exciting adventure to experience, whenever you’re on island.

At the heart of Apes Hill's vibrant community spirit lies a special tradition tailored for women who love to golf. Members and guests can enter this individual Stableford golf competition and show everyone how it’s done. One of the beautiful things about Apes Hill’s redesigned championship course is its friendliness, welcoming female golfers who have various tees from which they can choose to play. It’s a lovely way to meet new members, have a fun time together and even enjoy a glass of bubbly afterwards.

And on Wednesdays, it’s the gents’ turn. On Wednesdays, we have our Two Ball Betterball Stableford competition, which is always an exciting, yet intense competition. Players can sign up in singles or pairs, with the winner(s) taking the full sweep, as we look to see who will get closest to the pin, who scores the best on the front 9, the back 9 and of course the best overall score. It'll be a great way to meet new members over a round or two, on the course and even at the bar!

Our Cocktails and Canapés event is always a hit with members and guests featuring live entertainment, delectable epicurean selections from our talented culinary team and spectacular, unobstructed sunset views from one of the highest points on the island. Meeting like-minded individuals, sharing stories, and enjoying a selection of canapés prepared with ingredients grown right here at Apes Hill - what better way to spend your evening?

There is no ‘off-season’ to visit Barbados. Every month of the year brings new things to see and do on the island. You can revel in the summer's vibrant Crop Over Festival, witness the kaleidoscope of colors in botanical gardens during spring bloom, bask on sun-kissed beaches during the winter months, and enjoy the island's rich cultural heritage and local markets in the fall. 

Our community at Apes Hill also comes together in remarkable ways during the winter, summer and easter seasons with a slew of specially curated, bespoke events designed to foster camaraderie, celebration, and enjoyment. We offer our special brand of entertainment and activities including our New Year’s Eve party, scavenger hunts at Easter, wine tastings, champagne and golf clinics, outdoor movie nights, chef’s dinners and more. Outdoor adventure is a way of life here with our 12.5km of gully nature hiking trails, through indigenous gullies, which are home to some of the rarest flora and fauna on the island. Our resident environmentalist and Golf Course Superintendent Ed Paskins often leads nature walks and hikes through this enchanting natural wonderland. It’s a fantastic off-the-beaten track wellness experience where you can see, hear, touch, feel and smell the natural wonders of Barbados.

It’s quite understandable that with so much to do and see, there’ll be some days that you just want to sit back and relax after a round of golf, a nature walk, or even a wonderful cocktail event. You can relax in our spa, soon to be open, book in for a private massage in your villa, or take a short trip to the beach to lay in the sun and read a book.
