What is the Legends Tour?

Formerly known as the European Seniors Tour and the Staysure Tour, the Legends Tour is a professional golf tour for players aged 50 and older, founded in 1992 and organised by the DP World Tour. It boasts a strong playing membership that includes former Major winners, world number ones and Ryder Cup players and captains. However, it is also a one-of-a-kind experience for amateurs in golf, with opportunities to play alongside the very legends of the game in the Legends Experience.

For the first time in 15 years, the Legends Tour will be returning to the Caribbean.

Mark Your Calendar for a Legendary Experience

The Barbados Legends Tour will feature a record-breaking schedule for the 2024 season, with 20 events on the calendar across the globe. We are gearing up for the first stop, which will be at our very own Apes Hill Barbados from May 3rd to 5th, while the traditional Pro-Am experience with Legends of the game, before competition play gets underway, will be commencing on May 1st.

The Barbados Legends will see an array of golfing greats tackle one of the sport's most acclaimed new courses - our championship course at Apes Hill - which has been gaining global attention for its dichotomy of playability with a challenging twist, its inspiring views and eco-friendly design.

Woosnam said: "The course is simply breathtaking, serving up views over the Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea. I can say firsthand how much everyone will love the course and it promises to be one of the most anticipated tournaments on the Legends Tour schedule for 2024."

As the anticipation builds, spectators have several options to travel to Barbados with connectivity from major cities across the United Kingdom, Europe and North America. Once in Barbados, prepare for an elevated experience nestled in the heart of the island. Located within the Central Highlands of Barbados, Apes Hill is a mere 30 minutes from the airport, ten minutes from the platinum west coast on one side, and the rugged natural east coast on the other. It is supremely located to allow visitors to indulge in the best of Barbados.

The Legends Tour will run from May 2024 through to its Grand Final in December, with the leading points scorer over the season winning the John Jacobs Trophy - the order of merit crown over the year’s 20 events.
