Glenn J. Chamandy, a Canadian Businessman and avid golfer, is the primary shareholder of Apes Hill (Barbados) Inc.
For over 20 years Glenn and his family have been regular visitors of Barbados. Their love for the Island and its people with its vibrant culture, stunning landscapes is one of the many reasons for his investment in Apes Hill.
“My mission is to develop a reimagined golf community where world-class golfing meets sustainable practices, all within the backdrop of the island’s beautiful terrain. I felt it had the potential to create the best golfing experience in the Caribbean with all its natural beauty, gullies and views over both the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean on the wild east coast. I’m very happy to now be a part of it, as I really love the island and the people very much.”

Our vision was to create a vibrant, exclusive, but also not too restrictive community that harmoniously blends luxury living with the island’s rich natural beauty and heritage.
It's about a place where a shared passion for golfing, overall well-being, and adopting an environmentally conscious lifestyle could unite us. We wanted to make Apes Hill a sanctuary where members and guests can connect, unwind, and enjoy the best that life has to offer because personal interactions are vital.
This, combined with the interactions with our Bajan people, whose friendly demeanour has always been touted as one of the island's most appealing qualities, enhances the appeal of this type of experience. These values were readily embraced as I’ve always felt that we have a collective responsibility to protect our future generations.
We recognised the growing importance of health and wellness, making the most of our expansive beautiful landscapes and facilities, providing the perfect backdrop for those looking to maintain or improve their overall wellbeing.
Now, it is one of the most eco-friendly golf courses in the Caribbean, with the natural beauty of Barbados remaining at the forefront of the Apes Hill experience.

At Apes Hill Barbados, there is a tangible commitment to sustainable living that nurtures and protects the environment.
Chatrani points out: “Our commitment to sustainability is reflected in our environmentally friendly designs. We’ve also included electric vehicle charging points and charging stations for electric golf carts to make it easier for our residents and guests to be environmentally conscious, too”.
Sustainability lies at the heart of Apes Hill with 60 acres dedicated to farming livestock, honeybee hives, vegetable gardens and acres of fruit trees, with the farm producing fresh herbs, edible flowers and banana trees to provide for the on-site restaurants, which pride themselves on a farm-to-fork menu.
