Recognised Among the World’s Best

We’re proud to share that Apes Hill Barbados has been recognised among the finest golf destinations in the world.

In recent months, we’ve been ranked No. 7 in Golfweek’s Top 50 Courses across Mexico, the Caribbean, Atlantic Islands and Central America, and included in Golf World’s Top 100 World Resorts. These are independent endorsements from two of the most respected authorities in global golf.

Importantly, this recognition reflects not only our Championship course offering, but the wider Apes Hill experience.

Measured by the Best in the Game

Golfweek’s rankings are determined by hundreds of course-rating panel members who assess layouts using 10 specific evaluation criteria, reviewed by an expert panel. A No. 7 position places Apes Hill Barbados among the leading courses across the wider region.

Golf World’s Top 100 World Resorts evaluates golf, accommodation, amenities and setting. It reinforces Apes Hill as a complete destination, not simply a place to play.

Many visitors discover that while the golf is exceptional, it is the atmosphere that makes the winter stay memorable.

Championship Golf, Naturally Elevated

Our 18-hole, par-71 Championship course sits 1,000 feet above sea level, with panoramic views across both the Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea.

The layout challenges experienced golfers while remaining enjoyable and playable for all. Each hole has been shaped by the land and the breeze. Explore the course in more detail in our hole-by-hole guide.

Beyond the Championship Course

Little Apes, our par-3 course, was named Caribbean’s Best 9-Hole Golf Course at the 2025 World Golf Awards.

Alongside our island green 19th hole and Golf Performance Centre, we offer a complete golf experience for players at every level. Whether you’re refining your short game or analysing performance data, there’s room here to progress.

Where Living Well Comes Naturally

Our World Resort recognition reflects the broader lifestyle ecosystem at Apes Hill.

Golf is the anchor, but community is the differentiator.

From yoga sessions and nature trails to Padel and tennis courts, dining experiences (including our newly opened Beach Club), wellbeing and leisure are intentionally woven into the landscape.

A Course in Harmony With Nature

Apes Hill is certified by Audubon International for environmental best practice. Sustainability shapes how we design, play and live.

Sections of the course use Zorro Zoysia grass to reduce water demand. A bioswale system and rain catchment reservoir manage water responsibly, supported by on-site farm gardens. Our elevated location brings a cooler climate, lowering energy use and enhancing playing conditions.

Sustainability underpins both the golf experience and the wider community vision.

Join a Globally Recognised Community

Apes Hill is a globally recognised golf resort and community, defined by championship play and elevated living.
